Job Description

At Reddy Ice, we are working toward a vision of becoming North America’s “Total Ice Solution.”
This role will contribute to this effort by assisting with regional operations strategy development,
assisting the RVP with daily operations oversight, and by managing special projects as assigned.
Specifically, the incumbent will assist the RVP with regular P&L, scorecard, and KPI review and will
suggest strategies to improve both overall region and individual plant performance. The incumbent will
liaise with shared services such as HR, Risk Management, Operations Analytics, Engineering, and
Process & Training in both a daily operations leader role and as a representative of the operations team in
project roles.

1. Collaborate with the RVP to develop a sound operational strategy that supports the region’s P&L
and financial goals; monitor regional KPI’s and ensure that Plant Managers and regional support
partners are aware of trends and working towards KPI goals. KPI’s may include but are not
limited to: customer service scores, on-time delivery metrics, turnover and other HR indicators,
and accident frequency. This includes assisting the RVP with directing and guiding the
operations team to ensure financial and operational performance goals are met or exceeded.
2. Reviews all unit Cap X requests and budgets are correct before submitting to RVP for final
approval before submission to Finance Department.
3. Assist the RVP with customer resolution/troubleshooting; represent the operations team on sales
4. Act as a valued member of the regional operations management team; function as a key advisor
and business partner to the RVP, regional, and corporate support functional areas.
5. Proactively identify opportunities and areas that require improvement; determine viability of
process improvement initiatives with regional and corporate support functions; represent the
operations team in resulting projects. 
6. Make recommendations to Regional Vice President for territorial expansion, market
development, pricing, and margins for regional locations.
7. Conduct first pass interviews for Plant Managers and other key regional roles. Assist the RVP to
develop Plant Managers and other key regional positions so they are ready for rotational roles or
promotional opportunities. Collaborate with the RVP to develop a “high-performance” culture in
the region characterized by high integrity morale, efficiency, productivity, teamwork,
collaboration and innovation.
8. Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.
