Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hire, train, performance manage, and evaluate direct reports.
  • Lead the analysis to achieve the optimal ROI and margin enhancement stragegy associated with equipment deployment.
  • Direct the operational execution of national installations, de-installations and upgrade projects for major customers by collaborating with Commercial Strategy Department, Field Equipment Managers,  Market Managers, RVPs.
  • Manager other projects as necessary to support ongoing Field Equipment Service strategies. This includes projects such as handheld functionality development, pay-by-meter implementation, retail merchandiser scheduling and routing, etc.
  • Manage the development and publication of FES performance metrics and scorecards, with a focus on lean processes and waste elimination.   Lead field personnel in understanding and utilizing this information.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to collect and assimilate data from various departments including IT, Accounting, and HR to improve the accuracy and completeness of information relating to field performance.
  • Manage and track Reddy Ice’s FES capital budgets relating to major new installations as well as equipment upgrades. 
  • Drive improvement in asset utilization by focusing on eliminating waste, labor spend reduction, route efficiency, and parts/supplies spend.
  • Develop and deliver training by identifying training requirements for the FES team and track training completion rates. Develop curriculum to support ongoing training, retraining, and a certification program.
  • Review and assess financial performance of the FES function at all regions and locations.  Identify opportunities to increase asset utilization, improve operating efficiency and reduce costs.

COMPETENCIES:

Exceptionally strong management, communication, and organizational skills.  Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or other technical curriculum is preferred. A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in equipment-related business operations in a multi-unit service operation environment is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Up to 20% travel; on-call availability, weekend and evening work may be required.  Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable MVR since this position requires some travel to other locations. Must be able to climb a ladder, work with light duty tools, and lift up to 40 pounds. Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. The ability to build professional and collaborative relationships and reason through complex business situations is essential.
