Job Description


The Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for supporting various facets of the recruiting and retention process.   This is achieved by working with management in identifying desired skills and experience and utilization of various recruiting and sourcing techniques to attract and identify suitable candidates through various methods.  The Recruiting Coordinator also  provides  administrative support with job postings, job description updates, ATS administration, job offers, on-boarding completion, scorecards/metrics and relevant tracking/communications.


1.            Work closely with Recruiting Specialist, RHRM, and field management to understand business strategy and challenges; focus recruiting and sourcing efforts accordingly. Work closely with internal  teams to generate new sourcing tactics, leverage resources, and innovative recruiting processes.

2.            Create, review, approve, post, and update all job requisitions.

3.            Places advertisements by posting on approved job boards and utilizing social media. Research and recommend innovative methods to source drivers and other non-exempt field positions.

4.            Conduct open houses, attend job fairs, and perform community based recruiting.

5.            Review requisitions at least daily for new applicant flow. Identify viable candidates and conduct phone screens. Disposition candidates in ATS. Ensure external candidates are directed to apply through the ATS.

4.            Determine recruiting strategies, identify suitable recruiting methods, and post positions accordingly (Reddy Ice website, job boards, social media,  and other appropriate venues).

5.            Participate on weekly RHRM recruiting update calls and share best practices.

8.            Provide daily updates to Recruiting Team to prepare and monitor recruiting reporting metrics as required to include scorecard management, time to fill, sourcing and other metrics as needed.

9.            Manage the interview process by scheduling, communicating and timely follow-up with candidates and hiring managers. Assist with onboarding as required.

10.      Assist/coach hiring managers with interviewing techniques.

11.         Gather and compile timely candidate and hiring manager feedback; prepare offer letters.

12.      Remove job posting from career site and advertising after an offer of employment has been made; close requisition in the ATS.

13.         Assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.

Work performed and composed of a variety of different tasks, calling for use of strong independent judgment; and compliance with various laws and regulations. 




Related field with 2 - 5 years of non-exempt recruiting/sourcing experience in a high volume supply chain environment. Minimum 2 years of experience working with an ATS, preferably Workday. Demonstrated understanding of EEO laws with respect to recruiting and hiring practices. Basic expertise with Microsoft applications.  Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to multi-task and interact with all levels of internal and external customers. Must have excellent organization skills and be detailed-oriented. Strong customer/client service orientation. 


This position primarily works in a typical office environment, is generally sedentary, and uses computers, calculators, phones, and other office equipment. This position has up to 15% travel to field locations, where the employee will be required to walk and stand in manufacturing plants, including freezers. A valid drivers license and acceptable MVR is required. Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships and reason through complex business situations is essential.
