Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for the operation of manufacturing, processing and the vault. Lead and actively engage the MP&V team as they produce and store product. Maintain the plant facilities and equipment to meet production needs.  Meet all plant safety, production, quality, and cost goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Staff, train, performance manage, review, and coach all MP&V employees. Provide ongoing training and monitoring to ensure productivity goals are met. This includes preparing the production schedule for product to be produced and scheduling MP&V employees to perform the activities as necessary. Responsible for equipment operation. Conduct preventative maintenance on all equipment. Perform corrective maintenance and repairs on all equipment as necessary. Insure all processes are executed per the SOP. Identify any areas of improvement, recommend and implement changes as necessary. Keep area safe and take corrective actions on any potential safety hazards. Responsible for safety training and safety meeting requirements. Monitor product quantity and take corrective action on any issues that arise. Meets production goals and objectives as set by management. Orders and maintains parts and equipment inventories. Responsible for departmental expense and labor control. Manages payroll procedures for production department. Collaborate and take direction from the Regional Operations Manager to achieve company, regional and market objectives. Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Plant Manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position will be responsible for the supervision, development, and on-going coaching of all direct reports.  This includes training, providing daily work direction and managing overall objectives.  In addition, this position will be responsible for the scheduling, hiring, on-boarding, performance management, corrective action
