Job Description


Manages and performs daily treasury processes including daily cash and liquidity management, banking compliance and relationships, insurance and surety processes, and the preparation or approval of related journal entries, bank and GL reconciliations, record retention, and cost of service analyses. This position also oversees the processing of all ticketing and ticketing correction activities for the company.


Staff, train, coach, and review the activities of the Treasury Manager and the Ticket Processing/Corrections team members with respect to revenue recognition, cash management, treasury operations, financial analyses, and other activities.

2.  Perform revenue recognition duties, including collecting and processing of manual sales transactions and tickets initiated by Co-packers, Distributors, or Reddy Ice employees.

3.   Drive changes in business process to eliminate the need to process manual sales transactions:

Eliminate manual sales transactions initiated by Reddy Ice employees.  All transactions should originate through Company handhelds Support and facilitate business processes including  transitioning Co-packers and Distributors to initiate sales transactions through distributor hand helds units or via input of 3rd party transactions via a portal within established deadlines Collaborate with IT to ensure that the ticketing process is as paperless and seamless as possible

4.   Perform cash management activities, including:

a.   Evaluate the daily cash position and maintain accurate cash and liquidity forecasts which reconcile with the Company’s corporate model.

b.   Continuously identify and execute process improvement initiatives, including minimizing the number of bank accounts used.

Oversee or execute investment trades during periods of cash surplus or request advances or payments against the revolver during periods of cash deficits. Oversee or execute reconciliations of daily cash activity to facilitate periodic journal entries. Perform monthly bank reconciliations of depository and disbursement accounts for all locations.

5.   Perform treasury operations activities, including:

a.   Manage all aspects of the company’s banking relationships, compliance, and reporting requirements

b.   Oversee or prepare journal entries for cash transactions, including deposits and expenditures

c.   Manage documentation for all insurance, surety, hedging, real estate, letters of credit, financing and capital market activities

d.   Monitor outstanding checks for stale date and escheatment requirements

e.   Maintain an efficient record retention system.

6. Conduct financial analyses, including but not limited to:

a.   Banking, merchant services, armored car, and other cost analysis

b.   Verify charges for interest, letters of credit, and other service charges

Ad hoc analysis as needed

7.  Responsible for identifying and executing continuous improvement processes that

increase the effectiveness and efficiency of treasury and transaction processes.

External:  Banks, treasury-related and general vendors, co-packers, distributors, and customers


All duties pertain to the recording of manual sales transactions, treasury & cash processes. Heavy impact on Company liquidity management and revenue recognition. Access to highly confidential customer information, including credit card data. Responsible for the recordkeeping for large amounts of funds within the accounting, banking (lock box) and accounts receivable systems. Access to confidential reports and information.


Has access to customer and credit records, vendor records, distributor agreements, pricing information, contractual agreements, accounting and financial information, trade secrets, and extensive confidential information. May have access to company funds or assets.


Supervises the Treasury Manager and a team of employees tasked with processing all manual sales transactions (tickets).


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.

  • Certified Treasury Professional required, CPA designation preferred but not required.

  • Minimum of 7 years prior experience in Corporate Treasury, including technical accounting and financial reporting experience and experience with accounting systems and process improvements.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams and managing projects.  Good working knowledge of operations required to interface with field personnel.

  • An affinity for the details of daily transactions and a passion for getting it right.

  • Experience with system design and implementations a plus.

  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Dynamics AX, Excel, Word, & Outlook.


Typical office environment, generally sedentary position using computers, calculators, phones, and other office equipment. This position works in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment. The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships, and reason through complex business situations is essential. A valid drivers license and acceptable MVR is required due to minimal travel requirements of this position.
