Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for all talent acquisition processes for the  organization, including both field and corporate locations. This position works closely with management to identify the ideal candidate skills and experience, and uses various recruiting methods to attract, identify, and engage candidates.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hire, coach, train, performance manage, and review a team of recruiters (internal or external) who specialize in executive, management, and/or high volume hourly recruiting.
  • Establish and monitor recruiting metrics such as time to fill, ROI on advertising/job board spend, social media engagement, and other KPIs. Manage recruiting team to achieve goals and distribute recruiting scorecard on a regular basis.
  • Proactively review and refine processes on an ongoing basis to increase efficiency, identify emerging technologies, and increase the strategic impact of the recruiting function.
  • Manage and leverage recruiting technology to enhance business results/ROI, provide scalability, timely information, and consistent hiring practices.
  • Work with marketing on employment branding initiatives; monitor social media and respond regularly to engage and respond to candidates/concerns.
  • Stay informed of legislation, recruiting trends, and innovating sourcing technology and techniques; recommend program updates and implement as required.
  • Partner with managers on job requirements; update job descriptions as required
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to understand business strategy and challenges; assist managers with talent forecasting and bench strength. Understand organizational plans and objectives; create talent acquisition strategy to support short and long term goals, including staffing for peak season.
  • Build and maintain relationships and negotiate contracts with vendor partners, including staffing agencies.
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.

OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position directly impacts the financial operations of the company through proper staffing. Access to confidential reports and information.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position supervises external/outsourced recruiting resources and seasonal internal recruiters and support staff.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience managing a team of recruiters in a high volume hourly recruiting environment
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with an applicant tracking software system, social media recruiting, and establishing/monitoring recruiting scorecards
  • Intermediate expertise with the MS Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal/communication (oral and written) skills
  • Ability to work independently to achieve goals and targets
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team and department goals

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position generally works in an office environment and uses typical office equipment including phones, computers, and printers. Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships, and reason through complex business situations is essential. This position requires occasional travel; a valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR is required.
